Wheelchairs
Many sections of the National Famine Way are wheelchair-accessible, particularly near towns and villages. However, some rural stretches have uneven ground or narrow gates, – many of which can be opened – so accessibility varies.
- Deep Sinking – Clonsilla – Castleknock is NOT Wheelchair friendly
- Stretches from Maynooth – Clonsilla are being upgraded and only some parts are Wheelchair friendly.
- Please Note: There is an occasional bridge along the Trail that is a little tricky and there are slight inclines on approach and declines on opposite side.
